Order a Custom Painting
The pricing below is based on the cost of supplies as well as the hours spent creating a piece of art. If you would like a custom quote, please contact us. At this time, the estimated waiting period for a piece is 2-3 months.
My usual medium of choice is acrylic on canvas. All pieces are done on stretched canvas with a half-inch to 1.5-inch profile depth. All canvases are back stapled for a clean finish on all sides.

Shipping
Hand delivery is preferred if within a manageable radius of St. Louis, MO. The price of shipping depends on the weight, distance, and method. All portraits are carefully wrapped for shipping, and insured.
Donation to Animal Rescue
15% of every piece completed will go to an animal rescue or shelter to help animals in need. You are welcome to suggest an organization, otherwise I will donate to the rescues I work with on a regular basis.
Payment
I require a 25% deposit when beginning the piece (prep canvas), and payment in full before delivery/pick up/shipping. If you wish to pay ahead of time you may. If you don’t have the money for the commission in hand when I’m ready to begin then PLEASE ask to be postponed until you do.
I accept checks, money orders, cashier’s checks, or PayPal. If the painting needs to be sent through the mail I package myself. I’ll let you know the cost and once I receive payment+shipping in full, I will ship out ASAP.
If the order is cancelled before any work has started, the deposit will be returned. If it is cancelled after work commences, the deposit will be kept. On finished work: I will attempt to make any reasonable changes or alterations to the clients’ satisfaction, but if the client is still not satisfied, the portrait must also be returned if already delivered. The deposit will be kept but the rest of the cost will be returned if already paid. This has never happened, but is a standard term for all paintings and agreed to by making the deposit.
The Painting Process
I work from your clear, close up photos. Sometimes it’s helpful to have more than one photo (for example, one photo shows a good composition for a painting and another photo might give me a better idea of the colors of your pet). Emailed photos are best, but if you only have a hard copy I can work with that and return it to you. I am happy to combine pets from separate photos onto one canvas.
I do paint the sides of the canvas as well to give the piece a more finished look. Each pieces is finished with at least two coats of protective varnish. This minimizes fading and chipping, as well as helps repel dust that can stick to acrylic paint.
You are welcome to give me a background idea, color, or scene. You may want to look at the colors of the room where the piece would hang, or choose the color of the dog’s collar, favorite toys, etc.
Commissions are completed in the order I decide — partly first-come, partly what is speaking to me at the time. If a project is really exciting me, I may bump it up in line a little, but I get all pieces done in a timely manner. I work fairly quickly. I usually finish a painting every 10-14 days, depending on size and my time availability. Please be patient. If you have questions on when your piece will be completed, feel free to message me.
