45.04 All days of leave granted as part of a parent`s long-term care leave without pay or as part of paid leave for the care and care of preschool children, in accordance with previous collective agreements between the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Public Services Alliance of Canada or other agreements, are not taken into account in the calculation of the maximum time limit for the care of the family for the total duration of employment with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and in the public service. OTTAWA, ON, July 10, 2020/NCCR / – In keeping with its commitment to fair agreements for both employees and Canadians, the Government of Canada reached a preliminary agreement on July 9, 2020 with Canada`s largest public service union, the Public Services Alliance of Canada (PSAC). If ratified, the Canadian government will have reached agreements covering nearly 60 per cent of public officials for this round of negotiations. At the same time, the government also reached a preliminary agreement with the PSAC to compensate employees for damages caused by Phoenix`s wage system and the late transposition of 2014 collective agreements. If approved, this compensation agreement will apply to the 140,000 VIP members who will be paid through Phoenix`s compensation system. ** 1.1.23 The Agency shall review the use of private temporary assistance and their use of contractual services, term staff (conditions) and any other non-indeterminate personnel. To the extent possible, the Agency may not employ such temporary staff or renew the employment of the above-mentioned workers if such a measure would facilitate the hiring of surplus workers or dismissed persons. 17.36 Both the union and the employer may make a political complaint to the other regarding the interpretation or application of the collective agreement with respect to one of them or to the bargaining unit in general. 17.38 Both parties to this agreement must identify the person entitled to receive a political complaint who, after receiving an insurance complaint, must do the following: like the Phoenix indemnification agreement, which was co-developed by the federal government and other bargaining agents in 2019, the agreement includes measures to assist those who had lost financial costs and capital income, and who have faced personal and financial difficulties.
